"Not the Same as Before"
I've been a fan for over ten years, but this site has really changed its tune when it comes to saving cash. They’re pushing products and services that just don’t feel like good deals anymore. A lot of the posts seem sponsored, and it’s clear they’re not even on sale or the reviews are based on not-so-great experiences (like that food delivery service comparison: https://hip2save.com/product-reviews/best-food-delivery-service-app/ where DoorDash got the top score, yet it was the only one that didn’t even deliver her food!).

It looks like comments from readers are getting wiped out. I usually check those to get a broader, unbiased view on a product or deal. But, for instance, it’ll say there are 5 comments, yet none show up. Or it’ll claim there are 10 comments, but only 5 are visible. It seems like only the positive comments stick around. Some of those are even months or years old, making the posts feel outdated and recycled.

Many of the links they share trigger spam protection, so I can’t even check out the deals. I get that this might be how they track and earn money, but it makes the site pretty useless when I can’t access the deals through their links and have to hunt them down myself. Plus, the deals aren’t even that great to start with.

In short: if you’re after a blog that helps you save money, you might wanna look elsewhere. There are tons of options out there, and this one has really strayed from its original purpose.

"Click-bait Central... A BuzzFeed Imitator. Not Focused on Savings."
H2S used to be a fantastic place for finding deals. Now, it feels more like a wannabe BuzzFeed or Popsugar. Seriously, who cares when McDonald's is dropping a new burger? It’d be a whole different story if there was a deal linked to that news. But nah, it’s just about the burger. So, where’s the savings in that? The site has really gone downhill. Do yourself a solid and check out another money-saving blog... there are plenty of good ones out there.

"Disappointing Offers and Click Bait"
They used to share some solid finds, but now it’s mostly just affiliate links and click bait. The blog is packed with weak "deals" that are basically just Amazon links to random items. Plus, they remove any comments on deals that aren’t praising them. Any helpful feedback gets wiped out in no time. Feels like a shady way to do business.

You can discover real deals on plenty of other websites and Instagram accounts.

"A Shift in the Vibe..."
I've been following Hip2Save since way back when it first started. The good deals and the founder's journey, with all its ups and downs, really inspired me. But over the last couple of years, things have taken a turn for the worse. Sure, there are still some decent deals, but I'd say a whopping 90% of them are just affiliate links. I get it, they need to make money, but there’s gotta be a better balance, right? It's gotten to the point where I had to stop their daily emails. I even tried the text alerts, but they just became a hassle. Now they’ve rolled out a referral program, which doesn’t sit well with me. I’ve popped in and out of the site, and if anything even slightly critical of a post comes up (not talking about politics or anything), it gets removed. It feels like they’re not open to different viewpoints unless it’s all about making money. It’s a bummer to say this, but I think folks should know that the site isn’t what it used to be. There are still some gems to find, but just watch out for the clickbait.

"Only offer deals that don’t hit their own wallets."
They used to back apps like Ibotta and Ebates (Rakuten), but then they just quit outta nowhere. I figured out it’s 'cause they prefer to promote affiliate links to deal hunters instead of the best discounts. It’s a bummer to see it go downhill when the company is now raking in millions.

"A longtime follower - now exploring different money-saving sites."
I've been a fan of H2S for quite a while. I’ve finally made the choice to move on and check out other money-saving blogs. H2S WAS once the top choice - no doubt about it. However, over the last year, the site has been cluttered with click-bait articles. To make matters worse, many of the posts don’t even focus on saving cash. Like, seriously, what’s the point of sharing news about a new Oreo flavor? That’s got nothing to do with saving money!

I’d say skip H2S.

"What’s Going on with the Money-Saving Focus?"
Why is this website shifting towards content like PopSugar or Delish? Where have all the money-saving articles gone? Lately, all I see on H2S are posts about new products or snack reviews. Having followed this blog for over seven years, it’s just not the same anymore. I’ve started checking out other money-saving blogs because if I want lifestyle content, I’ll just hit up BuzzFeed or PopSugar. Not Hip2SAVE. Seriously, why is SAVE even part of the name now?

"A Downward Spiral"
H2S was once a fantastic platform focused on couponing and saving cash. However, over the last few years, it’s become a chaotic mess. Now, it’s filled with Amazon 'buy this NOW!' posts, complete with a ton of exclamation points and clickbait headlines. The emphasis seems to have shifted to consumerism and racking up clicks for affiliate links. A lot of the 'deals' her team shares these days aren’t even worth it. They’re just online offers that come with a commission for her. With a team now writing for her, the site feels more corporate, and her personal touch is missing. Her responses to compliments are usually just 'awww, you’re so sweet.' She used to share her own experiences, which really connected her with the audience. That connection? Gone. And don’t even get me started on the keto stuff. We get it, it worked for you, but what’s that got to do with saving money and coupons? Most doctors will tell you that keto isn’t a healthy or sustainable choice long-term. Her team often gives out what could be seen as medical advice about keto, which is just wrong and really turns me off. I used to check the site several times a day, but now it’s more like once a month, and honestly, I don’t feel like I’m missing out. I used to leave her site feeling happy because I liked the content and the deals. Now, I just feel frustrated when I log on because it’s changed so much and feels like a cash grab. I used to support her through affiliate links without a second thought, but now I’d rather shop elsewhere because of how the site has evolved. Good for her, but not so great for the readers.

My granddaughters were super thrilled with their Christmas gifts, and I owe it all to this site! I managed to snag exactly what they wished for this holiday season!

"Less Can Be More"
I've been a fan of H2S for ages, but keeping up with the blog has become a bit of a challenge lately. They’re cranking out over a hundred posts daily, and it’s tough to keep track of everything. A lot of these updates are just online deals. I really wish they’d return to a more balanced style like they used to have, 'cause it’s getting tricky to follow all the other deals that aren’t just online. Plus, I’ve noticed they’ve started using more of those catchy titles to lure us into clicking on their posts. :(

But hey, aside from that, I still adore the blog and it’s been a huge help for me over the years... here’s hoping they find their way back to a more balanced approach!

"The Ultimate Couponing Website!"
This platform is fantastic if you're looking to snag bargains without breaking the bank. The hip2save crew shares the "top deals of the week" from various retailers, so you can browse and save cash on whatever you decide to purchase.

During the holiday season, they’re super helpful in pointing out when awesome gift ideas go on sale. It’s a solid site for saving some bucks, but just a heads up—don’t get carried away with all the amazing finds. There are some items you really should skip because they’re not necessary... haha.

Since this is a blog, she uses affiliate links to earn some cash by sharing the deals, but Collin is always upfront about that.

"Great Discoveries"
I'm fairly new to hip2save, but I've stumbled upon some awesome bargains that I didn't catch wind of elsewhere. Be sure to check for coupons and discounts here before you go making any online buys.

"This site is amazing; I visit it multiple times daily!"
I really dig this site and find myself checking it out a few times each day. It’s super useful for finding the best deals and coupons! Plus, the ongoing promotions and free stuff make my gift-giving game top-notch! I take pride in being the one in my friend group who gives the coolest gifts, all while spending hardly any cash!
